Power Control And Throughput Enhancement In OFDMA Networks Using Water-Filling Algorithm

Inorder to enhance the capacity and output of a downlink orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA) network, it is essential to perform appropriate resource allocation. Correct resource allocation suggests that finding best subchannel and power allocation for each and every user. Therefore here associate algorithm is proposed to attain this. Initial of all sub-channel allocation is performed consistent with the channel parameters. Then power allocation is performed by Arithmetic Geometric Mean(AGM) approximation supported by convex optimisation. Then water-filling algorithm is employed to distribute the best power to every users. Keywords—Convex optimization, iterative algorithm, power allocation, macrocell QoS protection, subchannel assignment, successive convex approximation.
